Allied Telesis is a network infrastructure/telecommunications company, formerly Allied Telesyn. Headquartered in Japan, their North American headquarters are in San Jose, California. Founded in 1987, the company is a global provider of secure Ethernet & IP access solutions and an industry leader in the deployment of IP triple play networks over copper and fiber access infrastructure.
According to a Dell Oro Group report, Allied Telesis ranked 4th in the world for shipments of fast Ethernet ports in Q4 2005.
We would challenge you to compare feature to feature with products from the more well-known networking vendors and you will be surprised (we might say shocked) at how well Allied Telesis equivalents compare, and trump in some cases. Allied were one of the first vendors to release ‘Virtual Chassis Stacking’ functionality, and today it’s by far the best implementation we have seen. Ask us to demonstrate AMF (Allied Management Framework) that enables highly affordable complete network device estate management, device backup, cloning and deployment - we’re sure you will be mightily impressed.
Aside their mainstream switch products, ACC are very excited about Allied Telesis' new Next Generation Firewall products. Being AMF compatible, these Firewalls finally give the network administrator an affordable, robust, secure and powerful means to protect the edge, whilst working on the very same AMF management platform as all other network equipment, covering you from desktop to datacentre. These firewalls have got Allied Telesis written all over them. Actually, they do!
